I signed this petition at change.org a couple of years ago. It's such a shame that it fell just short of number needed to petition the FBI to investigate the makers of facial abuse.

https://www.change.org/p/us-legislators-and-congressmen-regarding-ethical-issues-the-federal-bureau-of-investigation-regarding-legal-issues-remove-the-website-http-www-facialabuse-com-from-the-internet-and-have-its-owners-brought-to-trial-in-a-court-of-law

So far as I know those guys are still making porn when they should be arrested. If I ever find another petition aiming to take down facial abuse or related websites i'll definitely be signing it.

The documentary Hot Girls Wanted and this website have really educated me about the horrendous mental/physical abuse that is taking place in the adult film industry. After the FBI prosecuted Max Hardcore, I find it hard to believe that the owners/producers of similar websites such as FacialAbuse and LatinaAbuse are not brought up on similar charges. The evidence available on this website alone should be enough for prosecutors to come up with something! My God! The atrocities that are taking place against these women is inhuman. I teach middle school in New Jersey and found out the filming for FacialAbuse is practically next door. I could definitely see how some of my female students could be lured into this when they turn 18 by these animals. Women like Shelley Lubben and so many other former adult film workers I've read about on this site are my new heroes.

It's really so sad, pitiful, and even painful to see our great society being "afflicted and infected" by Pornography, and by it's creators, the two "unnamed" monsters of pornography, who started their depraved craft in the 1950's and 1970's.

I watched Jessica's Anti Pornography College Group video, and I almost cried to hear all of what she said. I am a "male" despite my name sounding female, and I am just horrified at the abuse, the reality and the portent she mentioned.

I have read articles on the addiction process for those that "simply" watch, and have found out that the portions of the male or female brain affected by watching pornography is a different section of the brain which is not really affected by sexual stimulation, but rather by the same chemical components or receptors that create addictions, like any bad addictive habit or even like a chemical habit. That really shed light as to what happens to people who simply "watch" and find themselves completely addicted or habituated.

I would hope some day that our government would actually be able to "redefine" obscenity and help liberate victims and addicts alike, showing facts as support, maybe much like our government did beginning in the 1960's with Cigarettes, at least then we would be able to "define" the carnage and actions we are committing.

I used to watch porn a lot in college and when I didn't have a mate. I've been married 13 years and have watched porn only occasionally. But recently I was bored in a hotel and I indulged, and felt guilty the whole next day. I realize this is cheating on my mate, and is not an ethical thing in my mind.

So I am making these comments to state my feelings, and hopefully sharing this will help others as well. Porn is simply addictive. I realize a lot of my mental images of sex stem from videos I have watched, and then sexual acts I wish to do with my mate also stem from this. Whereas before watching porn, I never had these fantasies. I probably would've thought they were strange and irregular.

I fully support this site and think it is doing a much-needed job of putting out the facts about the harms of porn and human trafficking, etc.

I am doing what I can to be a better husband and mate, and to respect women as beautiful beings -- not as sex objects. I want to grow in this area and I'm taking steps to do this right now. Please support this site, and strengthen your relationship with your mate by avoiding pornographic materials.

Thanks for doing all you do!

I'm one of the victims of porn. I started watching porn at the age of 18. Then I was followed by the satan of porn. Every time after watching I wasted my semen. My health was not bold in my past. I got success neither in my work or academic areas in the past. I'm a hardworking person, but life became hard and harsh by porn. In 2009 I went abroad for study. Then I met with one friend who was gay. He inspired me to make a large penis to satisfy a girl. Then I thought that after having a huge thick one I can win the world. Afterwards my concentration on study faded, natural social life over. I wasted money and time, though I was a hard working guy. But my all deeds were contaminated. Hence I lost much in my life... I came back to my home country witout completing my study, wasted a huge amount of euros... After that I heard bad news everywhere about my personal life. In 2011 I went to work abroad, but my feelings of making a huge penis killing me inside.... Porn became part of my life. Moreover, one impotant accident happened in my life.... In 2013 I had my foreskin, which I didn't like, and wanted to remove by myself. I went to a shop and bought scissors and cotton to cut the foreskin of my penis... I came back to my room and cut my foreskin by myself. Then I got excessive bleeding... I thought I would die... That time I realized what happend to a innocent guy... all because of porn.... I was ashamed. Regret among people... Whatever I did was wrong... but lust and porn are very powerful. I realized... It can destroy lives... Finally I got immediate treatment... saved my life... Thanks for this page.

My father played porn videos before my eyes when I was 10 years old. It was the first time I saw it. But my addiction started two years later. I wanted to play some music from my father's files. I didn't realize that the name of the woman on the CD was a porn star. Since that moment I became addicted on it. It ruined my social life.

When I was 20 years old I became a believer and since that moment I started to win the battle but I still have nightmares. (I used to watch it almost every day.) So my advice is simple: don't watch it, it can only destroy you.

i just joined your organization.my decision for doing this came about after doing a lot of soul-searching.until recently i actually enjoyed looking at those beautiful women on porn websites.but after seeing these ladies being labeled as "sluts","whores" and other derogatory names my conscience really started to bother me.i could now see just how unhappy these beautiful people really were.then out of curiosity i checked out more websites only to find that while on film most of the girls looked sad and/or angry.if you ask me i feel these girls are being abused to the highest degree.and because i detest abuse of any kind i now feel very angry.this anger motivated me to find a website like yours.my only regret is that i am rather on the poor side.sadly i can't give more money to such a worthy cause as yours.however, if you can find some other way for me to contribute then that would do nicely.maybe i could use my ability as a good photographer to help you somehow.and i wouldn't want any money for it.that's about all i have to say for now.i sincerely hope that your organization continues to grow and flourish.a proud member,wayne proskin.

I don't know where to start. I guess I'll start with how I feel about the porn industry. My heart just breaks for these women who do porn. I wondered what these people were really like behind the scenes, and I've looked at some behind the scenes videos. I also watched some documentaries about porn just to see what really happens and how these women are lured into porn. It's really opened my eyes. I watched Jessie Mendez's story on Youtube.

I recently started looking at webcam girls. I encountered a woman named Angel DarkXXX. Yes, that Angel Dark. I chatted with her via her webcam. She said she has been retired from the porn industry for 5 years. She also once told me that she was "burnt out" and didn't follow anything that goes on in the industry.

When I watch porn, I do so to see a beautiful woman. sometimes. It depends on the mood i'm in. Recently I've been wanting to find out more about this industry and why men and women do this.

I think being educated about the harm that porn does is very important, because if you accept it without questioning it, scratching your head and wondering "why the hell do they do this?" that's when addiction will set in. You'll start to think "hey, there's nothing wrong with this." and view more.

I see ads for 18 & abused on Pornhub. There's a category for rough sex. Pissing. Videos about stepdads and stepmoms having sex with girls and boys are showing up more and more. Even more alarming is a channel on Pornhub called Throated. It's an actual competition to see who can give the best head!!!

I thank you for creating this site and for the stories you have shared here.

count me in.

Are women under the impression that the exponential rise in the amount of douchebags who treat women like prostitutes on your average online dating site, or just walking down the street, or the exponential rise in women and young girls being expected to perform sex acts regularly that move them farther and farther away from what they actually enjoy...really has nothing to do with porn?

You really don't see the connection?

Sorry, but you're fighting against the best advertising machine misogyny has ever had, and it runs 24/7.

Do you really think that a guy watching prostitutes on demand, and channeling his sexuality through that filter from an early age, will have no effect on how he views women and sex itself? That constantly watching women who are expected to act like prostitutes, and calling them and treating them like whores, will have no effect on relations between men and women?

Just go to the major porn sites and start looking through even just the Title descriptions of the videos you find there...and then try to tell me that watching them constantly from adolescence through adulthood isn't going to have any effect on how men view women.

I can understand why some of these issues scare the hell out of a lot of women, and it's been the third rail of feminism at times, but you're never going to be able to get real equality if the number of men who see women as whores is constantly reinforced and rises so much faster than the number of men who don't.

It's not about being sex positive or not, porn is a whole other type of beast, and right now you're fighting against a rising tide.

A lot of women are so pissed off right now about so many different things that they don't even know where to start...
Looking for a target for your anger? Awesome, got one for you.

(by the way, those previous two sentences are also basically the same thing porn sites say about women...but hey, I'm sure that's just all in good fun?)

So when you're up for it, go read this Memo about one way to tackle the porn problem...

I want to apologize to every lady who has been in the porn industry. I have watched porn and therefore I have contributed to their exploitation. By clicking a porn category, I have created a demand for it. And because of that, someone somewhere is trafficking innocent ladies. I am trying to stop watching porn and masturbation. I have not consciously looked at porn or masturbated in about 23 days now, and I hope reject it in the future. I sincerely apologize to all the ladies in porn. I am truly sorry and I hope you can forgive me for being such a pervert. And to the ex porn-stars (Jessie Rogers, Vanessa B, Cameron Adams etc) who are making a positive difference in the society, you look even prettier outside porn. Thank you for showing your beautiful nature by helping to rebuild the world.

I recently made the decision to stop watching porn after having my eyes opened to the horrifying exploitation and abuse of young women that occurs. I feel humiliated because deep down I knew it was wrong, but allowed myself to be tricked into thinking this was a safe and lucrative career. I guess you could say the humiliation has come full circle because I turned a blind eye to the humiliation that was playing out on my computer screen right in front of me. The irony is that I was watching porn and read the comments below the video where someone wrote a comment about Jessie Rogers becoming an antipornography advocate. I google it and the rest is history. I'm angry and sad that I supported an industry bent on greed to the point of destroying the lives of what should be one of our most precious commodities, our young women. For that I am truly sorry and plan to make a strong effort to support your cause. I pray for all the victims of the porn industry and hope they can find some peace, love, and joy in they're lives.

Your Brother in The Fight,

DJ

Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality

DESCRIPTION

Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality takes an unflinching look at today’s porn industry: the stories woven into the images, the impact on our culture, the effects on us as men and women, the business machine that creates and markets porn, and the growing legitimacy of porn in mainstream media. Above all, PORNLAND examines the way porn shapes and limits sexual imaginations and behaviors.

Although we are surrounded by pornographic images, many people are not aware of just how cruel and violent the industry is today. PORNLAND shows how today’s porn is strikingly different from yesterday’s Playboy and Penthouse magazines — how competition in the industry and consumer desensitization have pushed porn toward hard core extremes. And, with the advent of the internet and other digital technologies, users don’t have to wander far to access porn; todaythe average age of first viewing is about 11 for boys, and studies reveal that young men, who consume more porn than ever before, have difficulty forming healthy relationships.

PORNLAND also looks at how our porn culture affects the way women and girls think about their bodies, their sexuality and their relationships. PORNLAND: How Porn has Hijacked our Sexuality argues that rather than sexually liberating or empowering us, porn offers us a plasticized, formulaic, generic version of sex that is boring, lacking in creativity and disconnected from emotion and intimacy.

Shared Hope International specifically focuses on fighting the demand for commercial sexual exploitaiton, including addressing pornography as a very significant demand factor for sex trafficking.

Please see their excellent report on this issue:

Pornography: Creating Demand for International Sex Trafficking

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Pornography is a marketing device for sex trafficking: It normalizes degradation and violence as acceptable and even inevitable parts of sex, and uses the bodies of real women and children as objects. The difference between pornography and erotica is clear in the roots of the words themselves -- porne means females slaves, eros means love -- so pornography, like rape, is about violence and domination, not sex. Millions of lives depend on our ability to separate pornography from erotica, and to disentangle violence from sexuality."
Gloria Steinem, 2006
For information about Gloria Steinem's important work of fighting against the harms of pornography, sex trafficking and other forms of sexual exploitation and abuse, including videos and an audio interview, please see our page on Gloria Steinem. Click here.
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED. PLEASE DONATE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO.
Please remember that it is not up to AntiPornography.org, the other organizations listed on this page, the government, or "someone else" to do the entire job of fighting against the devastating harms of pornography, prostitution, trafficking, and other forms of sexual exploitation or abuse. It is an enormous job and the responsibility lies with each and every one of us to do our part as part of the bigger team of those who are choosing to be part of the solution of creating a more just and humane world for everyone, rather than be part of the problem.
So thank you in advance for whatever you are able to contribute to the cause, whether in the form of a tax-deductible donation or your actions. What you do does matter, so for the sake of all those across the world who are being exploited and abused, and for the sake of the future of humanity, please do what you can to create a more compassionate and safer society for all.
Thank you for whatever you are able to give or do to help create a better world for everyone, especially for women, children and future generations.
 YOUR SUPPORTIVE ACTIONS & YOUR DONATIONS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
THEY CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
