AntiPornography.org Allies, Supporters and Friends
The below groups, organizations, businesses, companies, and individuals have all expressed direct support for speaking out against the harms of pornography through their own activism against pornography, as well support for AntiPornography.org and/or one of our related projects, OR they have expressed support for the anti-pornography cause solely through their support of AntiPornography.org and/or one or more of our related projects at Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, Blogger, Wordpress, Twitter or Pinterest. They have all expressed their support by linking to one of our websites or projects, by being friends or subscribers at YouTube, supporting us at Facebook, by being friends at MySpace, or following us at Twitter or Pinterest. Each entry notes the specific expression of support for us and/or the cause or the nature of their friendship or alliance. Those who have provided specific statements of support are noted with an asterix. (Note: Active links to all of these organizations, etc., are further down the page in the footer of this page.)
The purpose of this list is to provide concrete evidence to counter certain false claims by those who are pro-pornography.
False Claim 1) "There are only a few isolated individuals, groups, and organizations against pornography." As anyone can see by the below list and the links near the bottom of this page, there are MANY individuals, groups, and organizations who are actively taking a stand against pornography.
False Claim 2)"Only conservatives and religious fundamentalists are against pornography." Any fair examination of the below list and the links further down will demonstrate this to be completely unsubstantiated. There are many secular, liberal, left, feminist and progressive individuals, groups, and organizations fighting against the harms of pornography.
False Claim 3) "Only women are against pornography. All men and boys use, like, need, want, and/or support pornography." Anyone can see by looking at the below list and the links further down this page that there are many men who are speaking out against the harms of pornography, whether as individuals, part of groups that include women, or as leaders or members of men's only groups who are speaking out against sexism and violence against women, etc.
Please note that in return AntiPornography.org heartily supports all of the positive efforts of those listed below that fight against the harms of pornography and/or sexual exploitation and abuse, etc,, and that work towards creating a better world for everyone. Everyone's positive efforts and their support for the cause are very much appreciated. Also please note that even though we may all have our differences in approach to this important cause, (and sometimes in regards to issues other than pornography and sexual exploitation), if we focus our time, energy and efforts on our common goalsof fighting against those who are actively creating the problems of pornography, prostitution, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation and abuse, etc., (the pornographers, the pimps, the traffickers, child molesters, predators, rapists, etc.), rather than the differences among us, we will have a much better chance of reducing the demand and supply for pornography and prostitution, as well as reducing all other forms of sexual exploitation and abuse, and then we can and will really make a difference!
Note: This list is a work in progress and is by no means complete. Also several thousand more of our allies and supporters can be seen by reviewing our lists of followers at our five current Twiiter accounts:
"Fight the New Drug is a youth oriented, nonprofit (501 c3) organization, dedicated to bringing global awareness, education, and unity to the fight against pornography."
We support FTND at Facebook and YouTube, we follow each other at Twitter, and they requested to be added as an ally. Please visit their website at http://www.fightthenewdrug.org/ and support them at their website and social networking accounts.
Dr.Diana Russell is a founding Board member of AntiPornography.org, links to our website and projects at her website, and we support each other at Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. Additionally Diana has provided a specific statement of support for AntiPornography.org.
We are friends and subscribe to each other at YouTube, AntiPornography.org is listed on th Captive Daughters website on their "Allies" page, and CaptiveDaughters served as the IRS 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor for AntiPornography.org in order to facilitate tax-deductible donations to AntiPornography.org prior to our becoming an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in our own right in 2011.

Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexualitytakes an unflinching look at today’s porn industry: the stories woven into the images, the impact on our culture, the effects on us as men and women, the business machine that creates and markets porn, and the growing legitimacy of porn in mainstream media. Above all, PORNLAND examines the way porn shapes and limits sexual imaginations and behaviors.
Although we are surrounded by pornographic images, many people are not aware of just how cruel and violent the industry is today. PORNLANDshows how today’s porn is strikingly different from yesterday’s Playboy and Penthouse magazines — how competition in the industry and consumer desensitization have pushed porn toward hard core extremes. And, with the advent of the internet and other digital technologies, users don’t have to wander far to access porn; todaythe average age of first viewing is about 11 for boys, and studies reveal that young men, who consume more porn than ever before, have difficulty forming healthy relationships.
PORNLAND also looks at how our porn culture affects the way women and girls think about their bodies, their sexuality and their relationships. PORNLAND: How Porn has Hijacked our Sexuality argues that rather than sexually liberating or empowering us, porn offers us a plasticized, formulaic, generic version of sex that is boring, lacking in creativity and disconnected from emotion and intimacy.

Saavi Accountability -- The only online accountability program that works with all online addictions. It is also the only program that sends notifications instantly via text message to an accountability partner so that they can be supportive when an individual needs it the most at the point of weakness, while they are accessing the online content. The software was created by a young man (26) who overcame his addiction and is trying to help others.
ADDICTION MESSAGE BOARDS & DISCUSSION FORUMS FOR HELP & SUPPORT:
(Note: The No Porn Northampton FAQ is in the bottom half of their sidebar. In addition to the usual questions about pornography it addresses questions and concerns about activism against sexually oriented businesses such as "adult bookstores.")
"Pornography is a marketing device for sex trafficking: It normalizes degradation and violence as acceptable and even inevitable parts of sex, and uses the bodies of real women and children as objects. The difference between pornography and erotica is clear in the roots of the words themselves -- porne means females slaves, eros means love -- so pornography, like rape, is about violence and domination, not sex. Millions of lives depend on our ability to separate pornography from erotica, and to disentangle violence from sexuality."
Gloria Steinem, 2006
For information about Gloria Steinem's important work of fighting against the harms of pornography, sex trafficking and other forms of sexual exploitation and abuse, including videos and an audio interview, please see our page on Gloria Steinem. Click here.
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED. PLEASE DONATE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO.
Please remember that it is not up to AntiPornography.org, the other organizations listed on this page, the government, or "someone else" to do the entire job of fighting against the devastating harms of pornography, prostitution, trafficking, and other forms of sexual exploitation or abuse. It is an enormous job and the responsibility lies with each and every one of us to do our part as part of the bigger team of those who are choosing to be part of the solution of creating a more just and humane world for everyone, rather than be part of the problem.
So thank you in advance for whatever you are able to contribute to the cause, whether in the form of a tax-deductible donation or your actions. What you do does matter, so for the sake of all those across the world who are being exploited and abused, and for the sake of the future of humanity, please do what you can to create a more compassionate and safer society for all.
Thank you for whatever you are able to give or do to help create a better world for everyone, especially for women, children and future generations.
YOUR SUPPORTIVE ACTIONS & YOUR DONATIONS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
